DOWNIEVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT

The department has up to date fire fighting equipment including fire trucks, rescue vehicle, water tender, brush truck and command vehicle, lots  of hose, fire retardants, and tools and protective clothing and the necessary training for all responders. DVFD has the responsibility for the Downieville Ambulance system which provides emergency medical response for most of western Sierra County.
